well if it makes you feel any better, i'm still struggling with L2 topics too and this is my 2nd try. my approach this time is:

1: Take a practice test (using Schweser Q-bank)
2: Find section I did the poorest on
3: Re-work all problems from that section using CFAI materials or Schweser abbreviated notes
4: Goto 1

So this is specifically attacking my areas of incompetence unlike the previous time when I was just working random problems from random chapters. It's not very enjoyable, but hopefully more efficacious. My biggest problem this time around is just finding 1 hour per day to actually study.

good luck!

Lumi,

Hope your preparation is going on well.

I am still struggling to cover the level 2 topics. I started Ethics section and I notice that the lengthiest chapter (Guidelines to SOPC) is the same as in level1, except the End of chapter problems. I guess I can review my old notes from level1, and solve problems from level2. That should save me sometime right?

I would be happy if you have any other recommendations for us ..

thanks,

hi Lumilog
ohh thats even more worrying
for that chapter make sure to solve curriculm questions.
they show you few stuff to be calculated that are not shown in schweser in case you are using schweser of course.
am intending to buy schweser vedios the cost is 500$ but i have no idea if they are any good
any sources that you think is helpful for such level?

hi migx,

unlike you i was not confident that i'd passed level one, but it turned out that i did.

i felt a similar lack of confidence after level two, and indeed i didn't pass.

despite having taken level two once already, i'm still scoring very low on the practice tests. but this time, instead of trying to study all chapters equally, i'm just focusing on the ones where i perform worst in the practice tests. right now, that would defined benefit pension accounting. yuck.

i passed level 1 in 2008 i used the curriculm i was confedient of me passing once i left the exam room.
i skipped a year to take a break from studying since i was fresh graduate taking level 1
now am back trying to prepaire for level II
this time am using schweser as my books but to be honest with all the time spect for studying i dont feel prepaired at all, no confedince what so ever, their is no time to use the curriculm now, anyone knows is that feeling normal in level II
i used to solve level 1 chapter questions and get like from 85% - 100% accuracy this time i barely see the 80% am slmost most of the time in 60% -70% and sometimes lower
the social isolation is hard for 3 years !
